Chocolate Cake Recipe

Chocolate cake is a popular dessert that’s enjoyed by many. It’s rich, decadent and perfect for any occasion. Ingredients:

– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 2 cups granulated sugar
– ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1½ teaspoons baking soda
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup buttermilk
– ½ cup vegetable oil
– 2 eggs
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
– 1 cup boiling water

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans with cooking spray or butter.

2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt until well combined.

3. Add the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined. The batter should be smooth and thick.

4. Slowly pour in the boiling water and mix until well combined. The batter will be thin, but that’s okay.

5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.

6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

7. Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes.

8. Carefully remove the cakes from the pans and place them on a wire rack to cool completely.

9. Once the cakes are cool, you can frost them with your favorite frosting. Chocolate frosting is a classic choice, but you can also use vanilla frosting or cream cheese frosting if you prefer.

10. Serve and enjoy!
