Chocolate Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

– 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
– 3/4 cup granulated sugar
– 3/4 cup brown sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
– 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
4. In a separate mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
5. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix until well combined.
6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the bowl and mix until the dough is smooth.
7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
8. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing the cookies about 2 inches (5 cm) apart.
9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cookies are set and the edges are slightly crispy.
10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
