Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Chocolate mousse is a luxurious dessert made with whipped egg whites, heavy cream, and chocolate. It has a light and airy texture that’s rich in flavor, making it a perfect treat for any chocolate lover. Ingredients:

– 8 oz (227 g) semisweet chocolate chips

– 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream

– 3 large eggs, separated

– 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar

– 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

– 1/8 tsp salt

Instructions:

1. Melt the chocolate chips in a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring frequently until smooth.

2. In a separate mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

3. In another mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the egg yolks, sugar, vanilla extract and salt until pale and fluffy.

4. Slowly add the melted chocolate to the egg yolk mixture, stirring until well combined.

5. Fold in the whipped cream until the mixture is smooth.

6. In a separate mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.

7. Gently fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture until fully incorporated.

8. Pour the mousse into individual serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until set.
